Month 8: Celebrating Rama Navami, Lord Rama’s Birthday
This month, we are honoring Lord Rama’s birth date, Rama Navami, and how artists Sudha Rajasekaran and Pehal Thacker created wonderful artwork relating to the festival. As a new addition, every month we will have a section just about the theme of the month, such as student stories, celebrations, and famous artworks relating to it. Month 7: Celebrating Holi, The Festival of Colors
Hello all, this month we are featuring captivating artwork from artists Prisha Mundra, Ruthvi Subramaniam and Mahima Kolar, and how their work relates to Holi, the Indian festival of colors. With each piece, the artists share a different story about the extensive traditions and stories of Holi, from the role of elephants, to the role of ancient stories, symbolizing different themes.
Month 5: Welcoming the New Year and Harvest
This month, we are welcoming the new year with incredible artwork about harvest from artist Hansika Senthil. We also had the wonderful opportunity to speak with youth artist Janani Iyer and her experience working in a business fair, from creating pieces to sell, to her favorite parts of the fair.
