Course A: Confident Communicators
Grades: 3–5
Schedule: Saturdays | 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
Duration: 12 classes per quarter (1 hour each)

Perfect for students who are new to public speaking, this course focuses on building confidence and communication fundamentals in a fun, supportive environment.
Students will learn:
Overcoming stage fright and speaking with confidence
Speech organization and storytelling
Voice projection, body language, and audience engagement
Creative thinking and persuasive communication
Collaborative discussions and beginner debates
Handling questions and presenting ideas effectively
Course B: Leadership & Advanced Public Speaking
Grades: 6–8
Schedule: Saturdays | 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Duration: 12 classes per quarter (1 hour each)

Designed for middle school students ready to take their communication skills to the next level, this course combines public speaking with leadership development and persuasive communication.
Students will learn:
ASB and student leadership communication skills
TEDx-style presentations and impactful storytelling
Competitive debate and critical thinking
Advanced stage presence and audience engagement
Speech writing and persuasive speaking
Interview, presentation, and event-hosting skills
Ideal For:

Become a more persuasive communicator and effective problem solver: Getting introduced to the mechanisms of effective research and collation of thoughts is an essential skill that can help you process information in a way that not only leaves an impact on the receiver but also helps you in your personal and professional life. Understand how to find reliable sources of information, evaluate the information for accuracy and relevance, and synthize the information into a coherent whole that is easy to understand and remember. Collating your thoughts involves organizing your ideas and arguments in a logical and coherent way, so that they are easy to follow and understand.

A short talk is a short speech, often under ten minutes, that is given at meetings and on special occasions.
The long speeches appear more daunting than they really are.
This course will cover the processes involved in outlining and developing both short talks and long speeches with ease, breaking them into introduction, body, and conclusion. -
The culmination of each term will be in the form of a formal presentation held in a public space and will be open to friends and families to attend. Details regarding the venue, time and date will be communicated closer to the event.

Students develop the communication and leadership skills needed to confidently lead meetings, introduce speakers, emcee events, motivate teams, and represent their schools and communities effectively.

Students build logical arguments, evaluate evidence, anticipate counterarguments, and confidently defend their viewpoints while practicing respectful discourse.

Requirements
Participants must bring their laptops/tablets and writing instrument, such as a notebook, pencil/pen in all the classes.
The instructional and practice materials required for this course and the additional resources are included in enrollment and will be made available during the workshop.
Restrictions and Cancellation Policy
Photography and videography are strictly prohibited during class sessions.
Cancellation of enrollment up to two weeks before the start date will result in a refund of 50% of the registration fee. Cancellation after this period will result in the issuance of a voucher valued at up to 40% of the registration fee. Please note that this voucher cannot be redeemed for cash and can only be used towards services or products offered by Deepti Designs, excluding weekly classes.
Due to the nature of the class, make-up classes or compensatory sessions cannot be provided in the event of absence of a student from the session

Deepti Agrawal
Founder & Curator
A celebrated TEDx Speaker and a Washington State’s Official Speaker Bureau member, Deepti Agrawal is an acclaimed educator, speaker and traditional artist.
She has been a guest lecturer at Seattle University, and WA State University aside from serving as a speaker at public organizations such as Seattle Art Museum, King County Library System among countless other public and private organizations of national and international repute.
With over 20 years of experience in education and communications, Deepti has dedicated her career to helping students unlock their full potential as confident and effective communicators.
As a seasoned educator, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their role as a curator of public speaking courses.
Shachi Sinha
Director
A dedicated para‑educator and current Master of Education student with more than 15 years of classroom experience. Shachi is deeply passionate about helping students discover their own voices and navigate their unique paths to self-discovery.
Combining a rich background in teaching with an MBA in Information Technology, she bring a unique blend of educational heart and modern technical strategy to the classroom, ensuring every learner feels supported, heard, and equipped for the future.
