Creative Voices is an initiative that aims to equip artists with the skills needed to confidently and creatively communicate. Consisting of five online sessions, the program aims at teaching the participants the essentials of public speaking, with focus on art.
Each session consists of team building and icebreaker activities, lectures on the key concepts of public speaking, and chances for students to deliver their own speeches.
Additionally participants learn speech mentoring, evaluations, and the importance of giving feedback to their own peers. Through this experience, participants will gain an understanding of the quality, thought, and diligence that goes behind delivering speeches and more importantly, having the confidence to be successful speakers.
The program is currently open and completely free of cost for the students of Deepti Designs School of Art.
Program Coordinator
Ananya Vaidyaraman
Ananya is a junior in the International Baccalaureate Program at Interlake High School and a graduating artist at Deepti Designs. Holding three certifications at Toastmasters International and current co-President at her Toastmasters Gavel Club, she is experienced in public speaking and leadership.
Ananya enjoys exploring the arts to catalyze change in her community, whether it be through raising awareness about environmental sustainability or mentoring students in the academia and arts. Through Creative Voices, she hopes to empower the voice of artists just like herself to confidently communicate their ideas to diverse audiences.
